My PhD work will be focused on:
-1- Metal catalyzed ring opening reactions of Diels-Alder hetero-adducts (for example byciclic[2.2.1] hydrazines) with a variety of organometallic reagents such as Grignard, organoaluminium and organozinc reagents. Moreover, with the aim of developing a new access to functionalized cyclohexenyl systems, we will study the ring opening of higher homologues bicyclic[2.2.2] systems with organometallic reagents. -2- Development of new carbon-boron bond formation with a particular emphasis on asymmetric ring opening reactions. -3- Development of new three component reactions using aziridines and cyclic ethers and appropriately substituted aryl borates to give substituted amines in one-pot method. -4- Synthesis and ring opening reactions of aryl aziridine with carbon nucleophiles in particular alkynyl organometallic species will be considered in view of further manipulation of the triple-bond.
